Rayleigh Turf
A family run business since 1950, moving with the times, supplying the local community.
OUR BEGINNINGS
All the way back in 1950, Rayleigh Turf was opened by my grandfather Nathan Buckley, after already being in the turf industry since being a boy, just like his grandfather before him.
Over the years grandad grew a huge customer base, building lasting friendships along the way. To this day we still have some of his original customers returning, as well as their kids and grandkids!
From day one, grandad realised that there was a market for quality, hardwearing turf at a reasonable cost, affordable for all.

MOVING WITH THE TIMES
As time passed by, the family grew and technology advanced. As they grew up, my uncle's Sam and Gary joined grandad in the business and helped Rayleigh Turf keep up with the times.
Gone were the days of turf irons manually lifting the turf, moving to the Ryan machines and eventually on to the modern cultivators, seeding and cutting machines we have today.
Moving with the times and technologies has allowed us to stay competitive in the market, as well as keeping the business within the family.

Our Product
My grandad saw from a young age, that the turf that was on offer was either very rough or very difficult to maintain.
Over the years he has perfected the blend to create a grass that is both decorative and well suited for ornamental lawns, as well as hardwearing and easy to maintain.
For generations this turf has been provided to the trade and private customers, proving itself over and over again.
